Save The Paddock - Chatham

Medway Greens are campaigning to save one of the last green spaces in the heart of Chatham Town Centre

At least 18 Trees are under threat in Chatham. They are near the Globe lane car park and Riverside Gardens. The council’s plans for a New Bus Station will involve knocking down 4 trees in ‘The Paddock’, and 14 others, most of them being in the Riverside Gardens, near the ‘White House’-Relate building (see photo above).

The Pentagon Bus Station could easily be improved in various ways, such as creating glass screens between the bus bays and the passenger waiting areas.

If you care about these trees please act quickly:
Send a letter of objection to : Amanda Hutchinson, Planning Dept, Medway Council, Gun Wharf, Dock Road, Chatham, ME4 4TR. You need to quote planning ref MC/09/2545.

You can visit the council website: www.medway.gov.uk to find out more.
