Ed Targett for North Thanet
Ed is a journalist and editor currently working in London for a macroeconomics and geopolitical risk research company.
He grew up in Kent and currently lives in Margate with his wife, two children and two dogs.
Ed says: “I think the Green Party comes closest to engaging with the major economic and ecological challenges of our times and has the most radically progressive ideas, from a land value tax to ambitious renewable energy targets and an understanding of the urgency of dealing with biodiversity loss and climate change, as well as social justice.
I don't believe austerity for the poor and largesse for the financial sector is the answer to the UK's woes, which are growing and I am keen to see innovative approaches to governance, along with an end to a deeply destructive foreign policy that has dominated our approach to international challenges since the illegal war of aggression against Iraq in 2003.”
