Trish has been an environmentalist for many years time and active in the Green Party for the last 6 years. She grew up in Gillingham, attending the local grammar school and Mid Kent College before going to Lanchester Polytechnic (now Coventry University) in the 80's. She subsequently studied through the Open University and is now a Chartered Engineer having gained an honours degree in Electrical Engineering. Trish has worked in both the private and public sector, predominantly in the water industry, and currently in the energy and environment team at Medway Hospital. She is a member of the RSPB, WWF, Friends of the Earth and Sustrans to name a few, and also supports a number of local voluntary groups including being an activist in Kingsnorth Climate Action Medway and Chair of the Medway Waste Forum.
Trish regularly contributes to the press, attends council meetings, has stood in the local elections for Boxley ward and has publicly spoken about her encounters with the police while at Climate Camp. She strongly believes that the Green Party's robust environmental strategy is no more or less important than the party's social and economic policies and that the Green Party can make a real difference in the lives of the most vulnerable sectors in society.
